Our Team

For over 35 years Baker & Associates has been a presence in the water and wastewater market within Ohio.  Founded by the late Harry Baker, our firm has always focused on relationships with consultants, operators, municipal managers, contractors and regulators. We know that successful sales of equipment rely on early and active engagement of multiple decision makers.

Traditionally, we have focused primarily on specifiable, high quality equipment and systems.  We embrace innovative processes and specialize in introducing them to the market.

In more recent years, we've branched out to include pumps and blowers in our product offering--but still lean toward systems as we get involved with challenging hydraulics and control design and troubleshooting.  We value early involvement in the engineering of a pumping system and only offer limited products which satisfy our demand for and our clients' preference for quality and long service life.

Ted Baker

Ted Baker is currently the Owner of Baker & Associates.  With over 25 years of experience in this industry, Ted guides and directs the sales efforts of the firm, manages key clients, and is the primary contact for our principals.

As the current President of the Ohio Water Environment Association and past President of the NE Section of OWEA, Ted has become an ambassador for the local water and wastewater community within Ohio and beyond.

He is also “Mr. MBR” in that he has been integral in over a dozen MBR systems in Ohio (and beyond) including the World’s Largest Flat Sheet MBR at the Canton WRF.

Jim appreciates the opportunity to interact with the operators and engineers in our industry and bring a wide berth of experience to the position.

Ted and Doug pause to remember Harry Baker (no relation to owner of the establishment).
Remembering Harry Baker

Ted's father, Harry Baker, founded Baker & Associates and was the owner until 2008.  Harry passed away in 2010.

Harry Baker's word and his handshake were known across Ohio and beyond.  He was a welcoming host.   He was an ear to listen.  He was a rep's rep.  He was a dear friend to many operators, consultants, reps, regulators and other industry folks.

As a charter member of the Ohio 5-S Society, Harry was a perennial OWEA sponsor, supporter, committee chair and advisor.

Ted and Doug celebrate the legacy that Harry created -- most notably the code of conduct and way of doing business that forms the foundation of Baker & Associates to this day...
